Grooveshark Chrome App - Not in store?

Recently, I discovered that the Grooveshark web app wasn't in the chrome web store. I think it has something to do with a copyright lawsuit, and Google pulled the app. Don't quote me on that, but that's the rumor that I have heard surfacing as to why the app is no longer in the webstore. I have a solution.

Now don't get me wrong, it will take you a minute to install. I have created a web application, but I can not get it into the Chrome webstore because I do not own the website. Also - don't forget that Google wont allow it back into the chrome store anyway. What you can do is download my Grooveshark Chrome web app and install it yourself. Which is super easy.

What you have to do is download the application by clicking on the Grooveshark Chrome web app. That will trigger a download, which will be a zip file.

Find the zip file in your downloads folder and unzip the folder into your documents or right there in your Downloads folder. Once you have the folder unzipped you can install it to your Chrome browser as a web application. Go ahead and open up your Chrome web browser and click on the wrench.

Once you get the wrench open you will need to then click on the tools and then on Extensions. I would capture the screen and show you guys, but for some reason I can't. You should be able to easily find it thought.

Now that you are in the extensions menu you will need to click on the + button on the right side to expand the developer menu. Once you have done that you will need to load the unpacked extension by clicking on that button. Then navigate to the folder or location that you unzipped the Grooveshark app to and then upload it. That's it and you are all done. Check the screen shot below for picture directions.

Now that you are done, just open up your new tab page and click on the icon. It should be the last app icon that was installed, at the bottom. You can drag it to the top and make it more easily accessible. I hope that you could easily follow this tutorial n how to get the Grooveshark Chrome web app back on your new tab page.

Cashcrate + Chrome = Get The Web App

If you are an avid user of Cashcrate.com and you use Google Chrome then you may want to get the app. I was surfing through the store today and I cam across it. I thought that it would be a good idea to pass along the good news to all of you.

I love having this around on the New Tab page because I can easily navigate on over to the website with just 1 click of a button.

This is a pretty simple how to register a website easily guide. We are going to be talking about how to register a website easily online. I know that you don't want a long tutorial on how to register a website so I will make this as easy as possible. Follow the simple directions below and you will be well on your way to getting your website online.

Alright, first things first you will need to come up with a creative name for the website that you want to register. It can be your company name or some random name for your personal site. So as you probably guessed it, your first step will be to figure out if this website that you are registering is for personal or business use.

Now that you have an idea of what you are going to be using the website for you can move forward with this easy guide to registering a website online.

You will need to pick a place to register your website online.

I always use Godaddy.com for my website provider. They have been around for over a decade and they have fine tuned the process to be quite simple. Right now if you register through the link provided or through the banner ad at the top you can get a website domain name for $7.49. A typical .com domain name goes for $11.49 so it would save you $4.

Follow the on screen steps that Godaddy.com provides.

The steps are quite simple. You will fill out the domain name register box with the name that you wanted. If the domain name that you want to register is available then click "Continue to Registration". Godaddy will try to get you to buy more products or domain names on the next screen. If you are not interested then click "No Thanks"

Next you will need to create an account with them or log into your existing account. At this point I am pretty sure that you do not have an account with Godaddy because you probably wouldn't be reading this if you did. Once you create your account select your payment method and you are pretty much done.

Google CEO Being Replaced?

Has anybody else seen this recently? Larry Page one of the co-founders of the giant company of Google is apparently going to take over the every day operations of the company. The new CEO isn't new news due to the fact that he was there from the beginning.

There isn't much to say about this topic yet, other than the fact that Eric Schmidt is going to be replaced by the original co-founder of Google. There is no real speculation as to the main reason why this is going to take place, but it is. Does anybody else think that the reason why is due to the last part 2010 the Google earnings that were steadily dropping?

Are you asking, "When is the CEO swap going to take place?" From the sounds of it the Google CEO will be replaced at the beginning of April, matter of fact April 4th of 2011 to be exact. What is the next step for the good old boy Eric Schmidt?

There is rumor floating around on the net that Eric Schmidt will take over as Executive Chairman. What are your thoughts on this guys and gals? Do you think that this is a positive move forward or a negative move backward? Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

The Best FREE Android App EVER

So you want to know what the best Android app ever is? Well that part is easy, but before I tell you what is the best application in the Android market first let me tell you that this is just my total opinion. If you are still curious as to what I think is the BEST application for your Android phone is then keep reading.

Now I personally believe that if you have a phone or tablet that is running any version of Android you should download the app Lookout Mobile Security. This application is a blessing from above and it has saved me and my friends from making insurance claims on more than one occasion.

I have lost my phone in my couch numerous times. I am pretty sure that everyone has at some point in time. Matter of fact, I think couches have a built in remote, change, and phone eating mechanism. Maybe I went out on a limb with that last statement, but I choose to believe it as fact until proven otherwise.

Now the reason that I like Lookout so much is that it is free. You can choose to get the "premium" upgraded version to get more options, but the free version of the application works out just fine. So back to when my couch ate my phone... I simply logged into my account over the Internet and made sure, via GPS, that it was indeed in my house. Then I clicked on the button to "Make it scream", and boy did it ever scream.

The "Make It Scream" button makes your phone awake from silent or vibrate and start to scream a police siren. This feature is pretty spiffy if you ask me. Another incident where the phone was lost was at a hockey game. My friend left it in the seat and we made it all the way to his house before he realized that he didn't have his phone.

In the midst of him freaking out over not having his precious Android I had logged into the Lookout website and found out it was still at the stadium. So I clicked "Make It Scream" and then we jumped in the car. Once we got back to the stadium we walked in and the security guard started for us. I got on my phone and asked his daughter, who was back at the house still, to make it scream again. The security guard that was walking forward to deny us access to the stadium about jumped out of his boots. He pulled the phone from his pocket and looked very frustrated. My buddy walked forward with his hand out and said, "I think you have been expecting us".

That was the end of that whole mess. The security guard didn't ask any identifying questions or anything. He just wanted away from that screaming device as fast and as soon as possible. My buddy thanked him and we got on our merry little way back to his house. Apparently, according to the guard, the phone's siren echoed off of the stadium walls and was pretty easy to locate. He said he tried to shut it off, but he couldn't figure it out.

The reason that I am writing this article today and claiming Lookout Mobile Security to be the best app on the Android Market is because we had to use it again today. My friend's daughter had her phone stolen at school and she called her Dad from the school's pay phone. He got on the Internet and made it scream. The kid that had stolen the device ditched the phone on top of some lockers and a random teacher picked it up. She just now sent him a text that said "Thanks, Dad. I just got my phone back!"

This makes me happy enough to finally write about it for you guys and gals. Swype Keyboard For Your Android

Did you ever use T9? Did you like it? Did it make things faster for you? Well to answer my own questions, Yes I did use T9, I loved it, and it made my texting so much faster. If you are anything like me then you would love to know about Swype the new T9.

This article is going to be short but sweet. Swype was created by the same guys that made T9. So you can imagine how fast and effective it really is. The concept is quite simple. You drag your finger across the on screen keyboard and only lift it once you are done with the word. Swype will input the word that it thinks you wrote on the screen and then you can just start swyping again without having to put in the spaces.

If Swype's algorithm gets the word wrong you can double tap it to highlight it and click on the Swype symbol at the bottom left. Then you can choose your correct word form the list that pops up over the wrong word. Not only does this save you time, but in the future Swype will get it right the first time. That's right folks, Swype learns from you and your previous entries.

Gizmo5 + Google Voice + Android + Wifi = Free Phone

Hey guys, I know it has been some time since my last update. I have been working on quite a few improvements on other websites, and have been trying to utilize a free phone through a WIFI connection. Let me tell you how I have a free land-line / cellphone through the means discussed below.

If you have followed this blog in the past then you would probably know about Gimzo5. This company was going to be as big as Skype in the V.O.I.P. industry. If you do not know about Skype then you should probably just go ahead and Google it. V.O.I.P. stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and it just a fancy way to say voice calls made through the Internet.

In the past the main problem with V.O.I.P. is that it had poor reception and the users were limited to their computers and large microphones. Things have changed quite a bit in the recent times. Now we have devices that can get WIFI signals practically everywhere. We have small devices that tell us everything from the weather, emails, phone calls, and other important updates in our lives.

So I am here to tell you guys what you will need to be able to get free calls via the Internet routed to your Android device:

The first thing that you need to have is access to WIFI Internet.
Secondly, you will need a Gizmo5 account. (If you already have one then good for you, if not you can visit the website here and request an invite. Google has recently froze all sign-ups, but you can always put your name on the list.)
You will need to download SipDroid and Gvoice Callback from the app market on your Android device.
Lastly, you will need to have signed up for a Google Voice account. (You can click here to sign up for your free Google Voice account.)

If you have all of these things in order you can proceed to get free calls via the Internet.

How to setup your Android device:

Run the SipDroid app and input your information under settings. Click on Sip account and then input your Gizmo5 information here.

Authorization Username will be your Gizmo5 number assigned to your account. (Should start with a 1747XXXXXXX) The password is your password associated with your account, and the last thing you will need to modify is the Server or Proxy section: Enter the server address as proxy01.sipphone.com.
The next step is to run the GVoice Callback app on your phone as well. Sign in with your Google Voice credentials. That step is pretty easy.
Sign into Google Voice on the computer and click settings. Under the phones section add your new Gizmo5 account and click save.
That's all folks. Go to your dialer, click to call your favorite contact, and watch the magic happen.

Are you sitting there asking yourself, "how does this work?"

The concept is actually pretty easy to understand once you know that Gizmo5 can receive free inbound calls. Google voice calls your phone and then once you answer it will then route/call the other line you wanted to call first, but it displays your Google number instead of your regular cellular number. So between the two apps and a WIFI connection you place a call, Google calls you back, Gizmo5 accepts the new inbound call, and then Google dials out to the party you are trying to reach.

I hope that this little write up helps you guys and gals to get free calling on your phones. I know that college students with an Android device and free WIFI on their campus' are going to be excited as much as I was when I first discovered this little work around.

New Google Search Results Page | Changed Google Layout

What do you guys think of the new layout on the Google website? I like the larger buttons and added functionality that they decided to move forward with. The box is more square and clean lined and the actual logo is much more crisp. Haven't a clue what I am talking about? Check out my video below to see the new layout look...

The search results are indented into the page from the left about one inch or so. The indent was necessary to include the refined search results that are displayed. You will notice that the right side is still the regular old sponsored listings, and nothing really changed much there.

In the refined search results pages you can select "shopping" results and bring them forward in the search or drop 'em to the back few pages of the listings. The new layout is supposed to be more user friendly and helpful, however many Googlers are quite upset with the new look. Some are even comparing the new layout to Yahoo by saying that Google is cluttering up their web portal.

There is a thread in the Google forums that is going pretty strong with many people debating the new look and functionality of the Google search layout change. SendTo A Google Chrome Extension

Just two questions for you to think about as you read through this article. First, when you see something of interest to you on the internet what do you do? Most people typically socially bookmark the things that are of interest to them on the net. Second, do you currently use the internet browser Google Chrome or do you plan to in the near future? The reason I ask these questions is because there is a pretty nifty new bookmark extension called SendTo. The logo looks like a paper airplane once installed, and the application does pretty much what the icon represents.

Want an example of how to use it SendTo the chrome extension? (In this example you already have installed the SendTo extension.) Alright, let's say that you are looking at this article and you decide that it helped you to discover new things about Google Chrome. Since it was an easy read you decide to share it with your friends and family by clicking on the paper airplane logo (SendTo). The logo is at the top of the screen by your address bar. Next you have to decide on how you want to share this article. Some options available to you are sending the link through your email, displaying it publicly in your social bookmarks, or even printing off just the parts you want.

You will notice that there are five main categories to this Google Chrome extension. You are able to share through messaging services, social networks, bookmarks, blogs and news websites, and through other means of communication and sharing.

I have to admit that I find myself using the SendTo Chrome extension every single day. On top of the fact that I use it daily since I have installed it, but I also use it repeatedly through out the day. There is only one or two extensions that I could say that I use more. (I cant tell you in this extension review though, sorry guys!)

FlashPlus A Google Chrome Extension

Have you ever wanted to manipulate or change the flash video on a website? Sometimes these websites have annoying backgrounds that prove to be a distraction from the video you are watching, and generally there is nothing that can be done about it. Well, there used to be nothing that could be done about it...

If you use Google Chrome and are a fan of installing extensions then check out FlashPlus. This extension helps users to customize videos or flash players to the fullest. You can make a flash game online that is only the size of a deck of cards become full screen. Youtube videos can be taken out of their placement on the page and put anywhere you want it to be. You can also block any annoying or unwanted flash banner ads on any website.

If you are anything like me then you use multiple tabs and have multiple windows open while you are surfing the internet. I use the Chrome extension FlashPlus to resize my flash videos or games into a corner of my screen so that I can multi-task. If I am watching a tutorial on how to do something I can watch it and do what I need to do at the same time. Using FlashPlush this way will totally eliminate unnecessary flipping back and forth between tabs or windows to learn how to do something. (I hated that part when I was learning graphic design information.) This extension is great for people who go to college online!

There are four main uses of this Google Chrome extension:

Harness the ability to block all the annoying flash banner popups that distract you from what you were doing.
Drag or resize flash files and movies on any website webpage.
Black out the rest of the website around the flash video. If the background to the website is distracting you from your flash video or flash game then simply black it out of view.
Resize the video to full screen or smaller. Some websites do not offer the ability to resize the video or game that you are about to view. With FlashPlus you will be able to move, change, block, and distort the flash on the webpage in any way you see necessary to enhance your viewing experience.

Cooliris A Google Chrome Extension

I would have to say that Cooliris is one of the coolest looking Google Chrome extensions that I have come across. The developer's concept is that people want one infinite space or place to view the media on the web. Cooliris utilizes a wall that is similar to what a merger of FaceBook and Searchme would look like, but with a pretty cool 3D format.

Cooliris comes with many pre-installed channels that puts over 1.5 million TV episodes, movies and other titles from all over the internet at your fingertips. You can enjoy scrolling through the videos or images on the wall, and if you wanted click to preview them right on the spot. If you do not want to watch them through Cooliris website then you can always click the pop out button and watch them on the original website they were uploaded to.

The user interface is something that is in it's own custom market as of right now. There are not many websites that utilize visual stimulation the way that Cooliris does with this Chrome extension.

You can set the Chrome extension to become your startup page or just have it as is. You can view Cooliris on your mobile device and there is even downloadable software for your desktop computer. If you have a blog or website you will be able to integrate Cooliris into your content with the plugins that are readily available.

You can even shop through the application, and I have to say that the 3D wall sure does make it pretty easy. I felt like I was flipping through a magazine of many stores instead of just browsing through one online store.

Learn About Google Chrome Extensions

Recently, Google released a web browser called Google Chrome. This web browser is still being tested and improved. With each day that passes a new application gets developed for the browser. Some of you reading this article have already installed Google Chrome and know all about the extensions. Some of you may have Google Chrome, but have no idea which extensions are good to use and which ones to avoid. The rest of you reading this either did not know about Chrome or just did not care to check it out yet.

What is a Google Chrome Extension?
Google Chrome extensions are the exact same thing as Firefox or Internet Explorer Add-ons. An Add-on is something extra that you wanted incorporated into the browser that you use. There are thousands of different extensions or add-ons that can be installed with each internet browser. Google Chrome extensions are just indivudual applicaions that run from your browser for easy accesibility or funtionality.

Why you need to know about these extensions:
Due to the fact that so many people are now trying to develop their own extension for Google Chrome, there has been a surge in new applications. This can be good and bad but all-in-all, the good applications or extensions outweigh the bad ones.

If you follow my website you will notice that I usually have lengthy articles with very detailed information about the topic of discussion. I want to inform my readers that I will be adding a Google Chrome Extensions category to this website for easy access to the best Google Chrome Extensions, that I have discovered on the internet. I will be updating this category weekly. However, the articles posted will not be as long as the rest of the content, like you are use to.

In order to write about these extensions, I will be testing out them all personally. The good ones, the bad ones, and even the ugly Google Chrome Extensions will be thoroughly tested on my computers before I post any information about them. Google Goggles - Visual Search Engine

When you surf the web, you typically search via text. You may even sometimes search by voice commands. Well, leave it to the search engine giant Google to change the way that people use the internet, again.

Google Goggles uses your camera phone and the pictures you take to search the web. As of right now, the visual search option is only available to Android enabled devices. However, the visual search service may become available to any phone with a camera, in the near future. I foresee the ability to upload photos from your home computer and have the Google's search bot cross reference the image with whatever it may be.

Google Goggles is a brand new search concept that is still being developed. Right now the search technology is in it's infancy, but eventually, it will become the next wave of search engine evolution. Due to being new in the search market, Google Goggles will only work with a select few things. Look below for some examples of ways that a person could use the visual search service.

Landmark: Have you ever been lost in another country or maybe even in your own? Regardless of where you are, you notice a landmark and take a snapshot of the location with your phone. Google Goggles will analyze the photo with their satellite imagery and your phone's GPS to find out exactly where you standing. With another Google product, called Maps, a user is able to use their Landmark photo and then get directions to or from it. A user could even use Google Goggles to do a search around that specified area to find local entertainment, stores, restaurants, or anything else.

Book: For instance, you are at the library or a friend's house, and you notice a book cover that catches your attention. Since you want to check out more information about this particular book, you decide to take a snapshot of it for later use. Then, you realize that you already have Google Goggles installed on your mobile device, so you decide to use the service. With the Goggles you are able to locate information about the book such as reader reviews, purchase information, and release date. You can even check to see if it was ever a best seller or possibly find other books related to the topic.

Contact Information: I personally love the concept of using Google Goggles to take a snapshot of a business card. Some of you may be thinking - "I already take snap shots of business cards so I can recall the information later." If you currently are taking snapshots of your collegues businesscards then you have been a step ahead of the game.

With Google Goggles you will be able to take a photo of a business card and upload all the contact information onto your phone or mobile device without having to enter it yourself. What I mean is that, you will no longer have to collect business cards from people you meet. You could simply take a photo of the card and all the info that is on that card will be imported into your contacts. You are able to call that person's cell, office, or even send out an email, moments after taking the photo. (Personally, this would save me quite a bit of time from punching in their name, number, address, email address, and etc.)

Artwork: To be honest, I am horrible with remembering artwork titles and the artist that created them. For this example I am going to place you at a local garage sale. Let's say that you are rummaging around through another person's stuff looking for your treasure. You find a beautiful painting that looks old and has been tossed aside. You decide to cross reference it with Google's database by taking a snap shot. Once you take that picture you find out directly from Google that the artwork, in front of you, is actually worth more than the seller is asking. You would know the title of the painting, when it was created, and who created it. I would think that this type of information would come in handy when you are searching for hidden gems.

Places: Again, I am amazed by how much you could potentially do with a camera phone and Google software. So, in this scenario, you are on vacation in San Diego, California. Since you do not live in this part of the country, you are not familiar with the stores and what they sell. Let's say that you are standing on the sidewalk and decide to get out your camera phone or mobile device and point the camera at a few stores.

When you cross over a store front a little icon pops up in your camera that has the store information right there for you. You do not even have to take a snapshot of the place, but you do have to get it in the camera angle. You can find out store reviews, available products, average costs, and contact details. This is pretty handy since you never had to step foot into the store but found out that it was an adult shop called "My Candies". (Imagine if you didn't have Google Goggles and you hauled your kids into the store to get them candy... That could be an awkward moment.)

Wine: Although I do not drink wine often, I know other people that would use the Wine feature of Google's Goggles. If you are at a restaurant and decide to try a particular brand and decide that you like it, you could always take a photo of it. Once your photo is uploaded into Google you would be able to cross reference it with other restaurants that sell that wine. You could even pinpoint where to purchase it, find out where it is imported from, and the year it was made.

Logo: You are able to take a photo of a logo and find out more facts about that particular company. Anything that is on the web about that logo is available, in the palm of your hand without typing. As a Google Goggles user you can even take a snapshot of a product's bar code and find what store sold it, for how much, and if they still have it in stock. This could come in handy when you pull up to a stop sign and see some contracting company that you would like to call. Take your quick snapshot photo and all of the company's contact information would be uploaded into your contacts.

Eventually a user could possibly upload an image of a friend or co-worker and do do a background check on them.What if a person could upload a picture of their neighbors into Google and find out that they are wanted in another state; wouldn't that be something to consider? Google aspires to eventually use Google Goggles to suggest a move in a chess game! The developers even suggest that in the future you would be able to take a picture of a leaf and identify the tree that it came from and where to find it.

With having your all of your pre-written tweets being automatically posted randomly through out the day you are getting better chances of a sales conversion based on volume alone. You can search the internet for ways to use Twitter for affiliate marketing and you will see many people say the simplest thing that you can do is to just get your link out there. Yeah, by simply posting your link once you are potentially getting your message in front of millions of people. The idea is to get out in the cloud (the server) as much as possible, and once you get your message out there you will start to see results. Even if you are not getting sales right away you can still use a service like Google Analytics to see where your visitors are coming from and thus adjust your sales pitch accordingly.

With Analytics you will be able to see how long people stayed on your website and how long they spent reading your site or sales pitch landing page. This type of information will allow you as a webmaster to optimize your landing pages for a better return on investment (ROI). You should be able to make money with three easy components such as Twitter, TweetAdder, and Google Analytics.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. For this example you are going to be trying to sell someone's Ebook. The author of the book is selling it for $20, and will give you $10 for each sale you bring to them. So you took the time to write up great micro posts and added them to your TweetAdder software. Now you just click the option to automatically post tweets up to the daily maximum, and that is it. As of right now you currently have automatic sales system running through the social network Twitter.

Here is how it works:

You now have up to 50 postings getting posted on Twitter each and every day. I have noticed that some of my posts bring at least 10 people to my landing pages. Out of those ten people I can usually land at least 10% to actually purchase the Ebook.

So here is how the example's Math breaks down. You auto posted 50 tweets and had 10 people click through to your website. At the end of the day you generated 500 unique visitors to your landing page or website. If you sales page is good enough you should be able to convert at least 10% who end up buying the product. You will notice that 10% of 500 is 50 people buying the Ebook at $20 a pop. You get $500 dollars that you generated on autopilot with Twitter, TweetAdder, and the Ebook referral link.

This can happen every day and you will be happy with the results as will the author of the Ebook that you are marketing. The product can be worth more or less and you can have multiple products that you are selling automatically like that. If you can setup 20 products then you could end up being totally financially free by using the Internet to generate income.

Google Voice + Gizmo5 = Last Phone You Will Ever Need

Google has recently bought up a VOIP (voice over internet protocol) company called Gizmo5. This is great news if you already have a Google Voice account. Between the two Google services and an Android powered device a person could get rid of their land line and cellular phone numbers altogether. You are probably thinking, "No more monthly phone bills? How is that possible and why didn't I know about this yet?"

Let me take a few minutes to explain everything to you. First you have to understand that Google provides just about everything for free. It is the way of the market in the open sourced world that we all know and live in today. With that being said I am going to talk about each service individually and explain how they will compliment each other once combined on an Android device. You could not know about this yet because the concept is still being developed by Google, but we should see some news this year sometime in 2010.
About Google Voice: Google Voice is an online phone message hub that also forwards your calls to you no matter where you are or what phone you are using. If you have not signed up with Google Voice yet, but have a GMail account then you should visit their website and request an invite. GV (Google Voice) has started off exactly the same way that GMail did, by invite only. If you are lucky enough to get an invite then you can choose your number by your local location or by mnemonic phrase . If you choose by your number by mnemonic phrase then you can select any word that you want and choose from the numbers that become available within your word's combination.

Once you get your number you will be able to integrate your current cellular device, landline phone, or even your work phones with your GV number. Once you have everything setup properly you will be able to take a call on any of your phones that you have programmed into the account. If you get a call on your home phone, work phone, or cellular phone then all three will ring so that you can pickup the call no matter where you are located. You can also have as many custom voice mail messages as you feel are necessary. You can setup groups that have customized voice mails they get played when a member of that group calls your number.

Google Voice also transcribes all your voice messages into text messages and then sends them to your email address. No more loosing or deleting an important text message because everything gets stored on Google's cloud servers. Here is an example as to how the storage space could come in handy. Let us say that you get a threatening voice message from your ex - you can forward the message, playback the message on any phone or computer, and you can even save the message for an eternity if you need to. No more accidental deletion of an important message on any phone that you have as long as the message gets left on your GV number.

About Gizmo5 VOIP Service: Gizmo5 is a service that is exactly like it's most popular competition, Skype. You can get a call-in phone number for your account and you can hand out to your friends, family, or even to strangers. Log in on your computer when you turn it on and if a person has your Gizmo5 number they can contact you directly on your computer. You get also get voice message service and of course you can always send and receive text messages directly from your Gizmo5 account. There really is not much that is different when you compare Skype to Gizmo - other than the obvious fact that more people use Skype. (Which has been around longer)

In Gizmo5's recent updated version the online phone company is offering video connection calls. Video calls would put you face to face with the person that you are wanting to talk to. This is an excellent feature for business conference calls, great for long distance relationships, and can even help a soldier in a different country to see their children each day. Not only did Gizmo upgrade to allow video chat, but they also have released a smartphone platform. Now you can get Gizmo5 on your smartphone, which makes things interesting if you ask me...

With a smartphone you would be able to send and receive phone calls directly on your cellular device, as long as you have a WIFI connection. So in essence you do not even need to have your cellular phone's number even activated. What I mean is that you can buy an old or slightly outdated IPhone or smart phone that has WIFI capabilities and use it for your cellular phone without paying for the phone service. You can drive to a hotel, coffee shop, or even some restaurants and use your phone right in their parking lot for free! Of course, you would be restricted to places that have WIFI access. In my city, you can get an internet connection through WIFI almost anywhere, and if you can't then all you have to do is move a block in any direction to find one. The internet will continue to grow eventually anybody anywhere will be able to log into the net with just about anything.

Android powered devices: Google has released their version of many things such as an email service, a voicemail service, a search engine, their own maps, their own browser (Google Chrome), their own operating system (Chromium), and even their own mobile platform (Android). A mobile platform is the heart and guts to smartphones these days. Your smartphone generally is running a windows mobile software version, and if not then you have an IPhone. If you follow recent technology news you would know that Google wants to release an Android powered device that has just a data only connection. This means that you can purchase the device and just get your internet turned on on the phone. (Internet only should run around $10 to $20 per month)

Alright you are officially filled in with the Google products and now I can put all the pieces of the puzzle together and you will be able to understand what I am saying. With these services working together a person could get a cellular phone with unlimited calling, unlimited text messages, unlimited voice message storage space, working GPS enabled maps, and so much more for just $10 to $20 per month.

All of America will use ATT (the company rumored to host the data plan on their network) once they back Google's move with the data only Android enabled device, and especially if they can provide internet connection for a low monthly price. Once Google integrates Gizmo5 and Google Voice a little better than a person could receive voice calls on their computer or Android device through the internet. The internet fees will be nothing in comparison to counting minutes that is standard with all major cellular phone providers.

In conclusion, if you want to get rid of your current cellular provider then this year may be the time to do so. Once Google gets all the kinks hammered out there will be a massive increase in Googlers worldwide just from the phone services they recently have offered alone. Who would have thought back in 1998 that Google would end up monopolizing the world with all their free services. (They literally have their hands in just about everything.)

Zimbio - Is it Good or Bad For Your Blog or Website?

Is Zimbio good or bad for your website? Are you worried about Zimbio effecting your website's page rank or search engine results? If you know anything about SEO you could be a little worried about all the duplicate content that is being created by the aforementioned website. I have put the website to the test and this article is a direct result of my actual findings.

To put is short Zimbio is good and bad for your website at the same time! Let me tell you why it is good and why it can be bad. I ask that you read everything in this article before you formulate your own opinions about the website of discussion. If you use Zimbio then you may already be having these questions, and if you do not use it then you will end up asking theses same scenarios eventually.

Zimbio is bad for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) if you have your blog being fed via RSS. I know that you may want to take the easy way out and just have your feed pulled from your blog or website. I did it myself, and found out the hard way that Google just doesn't like that very much. They ripped all of my webpages from their search results without thinking twice about it. I particularly worry about the search engine Google because everybody else just follows their lead. If you rank pretty high up on that search engine then you will rank pretty well with their competitors.

Why is Zimbio bad for SEO when I automatically feed my blog to it? That part is simple, but complicated at the same time. Zimbio is a pretty massive website that updates daily, and with all the other publishers submitting articles it updates almost every minute. Since that article directory is pumping out relative content that is rich in quality Google indexes it rather quickly. In short, Zimbio is bigger then your website and will get their content indexed first even if it is your content to begin with. Do you see where this is leading, and how it can potentially harm your website or blog for the search engines?

Why is that a big deal? I want my articles to get indexed by Google and to show up in the search results as soon as possible. Alright, here is why that situation is no good for your blog or site. If you know anything about SEO then you know that Google simply hates duplicate content. As a matter of fact, the search company will pick one of the duplicates and display it in the search results, exclusively. If you publish your content first and then Zimbio grabs it via your feed and gets indexed before your website does then they will get your content. That is right, even if you are the originator of the content Google will still show the first one that is indexed especially if you are a small to medium website or blog.

Why cant Google and the other search engines just look at the time stamp of my article and see that I am the originator of the content? They can, but it will take them a few months to sort through all the duplicate content and could take even longer. As of right now there are over 300 billion websites on the internet that are constantly submitting content everywhere. The googlebot has a lot of webpages to crawl so it could take them some time to find an error and then even longer to sort it out. Right now, their moto is to just display the first one indexed and not show the rest until proved otherwise.

So I know to not automatically feed my blog or site to the article directory, but is that the only reason that Zimbio is no good for SEO? So far, that is the only reason that I could find as to why you should not use the article directory for pinging your blog or website. So in other words if you submit your rewritten articles manually you will be able to use this directory for article marketing. Zimbio is a younger website that has a growing database of readers and publishers. Let's not forget to mention that the website is not as well known as some of it's competitors so it has a ton of untapped marketing potential.

What if I rewrite my articles and submit then manually? That will work so long as the content is different then the original source. Another thing that you can do is just submit a portion of the original content with a link back to the original website or blog that has the complete full article or blog post. Just like any other article directory, Zimbio, will work to your advantage and pull in some extra traffic. Do not forget that you can also build backlinks rather quickly by putting a direct link to your website or blog's URL right in the content, and you should also put one in your author bio.

In short, DO NOT feed your RSS or "ping your blog" through Zimbio because they will get credit for your content if it gets indexed first on Google. You can rewrite or submit portions of your articles manually and still be able to use the article directory.

I would personally have to say that J.mp makes some of the shortest URLs that I have seen so far. I have personally been on a quest to find the best URL shortener websites out there, and I even wrote an article on the ones that I have found so far.

Since that article I have found two more great link shrinking websites, and they are from two well known companies. One has already been put down onto paper and posted for my readers a day or two ago, so you may already know about it if you follow this blog. It was Google's URL shrinker called Goo.gl. The one that I am writing about today is called J.mp and it is an extension of the popular site Bit.ly. If you use link shortening websites then you should know that Bit.ly has been rising to the top with over 2 billion link clicks per month!

J.mp shortens your long links down to a simple 18 character or less URL. You have to admit that bring a long link down to something as short as 18 characters is quite impressive. You can get your links even shorter by creating a custom name for them just like you can in Bit.ly. As a matter of fact, everything about J.mp is exactly the same as the parent link shrink site.

J.mp uses the tracking service that Bit.ly provides by converting your links to Bit.ly links and then converting that link over to a J.mp URL. Do not worry - this is all done automatically and is apart of their service that the URL Shortening company provides. Everything is so short, consice, and simple that you will be amazed with the web application provided.

In summary, if you are searching for a way to get just a few more spaces then you should use J.mp the newest shortener from Bit.ly. You will still get all the benefits of the Bit.ly links, but they will be at least 2 or more characters shorter. In the world of micro messaging the more space you have for your content the better. J.mp will prove to be a king in the world of short links.

How To Change Your FavIcon | Custom Tab Icon Logo

Do you have a blogger blog? If so, have you been trying to figure out how to change the logo from the Blogger orange "B" that is at the top of your tabs to something else? If you do not use Blogger then do not worry because this post can still be applicable to you! All webpages are made out of a computer language called HTML, and what we will do is some minor editing to the main layout of your website or blog.

The icon that shows up in the top tabs of your window is called the FavIcon. It's sole purpose is to help people to get accustomed to your brand name or logo. These days, all search engine optimization idealist and companies are shaping around the idea of brand recognition. Brand recognition has been around for years, but on the web it is a new version of the old concept.

There will be a few things that you will need to have or know how to do before you can successfully change your Icon at the top in the tabs. If you you will need a small graphic or logo that you use to promote your brand. File hosting is going to be necessary and at least there are many free places online that you can upload your files to. You will also need to be able to get access to the HTML or XML that your website or blog is written with. This could be simple or it could be a daunting task that will prove to be a pain in your butt.

All in all the process is quite simple even if you are a novice to the world of computer languages. Do not worry yourself to death just because you have a lack of experience with this type of stuff. Just about 9 times out of 10 I find myself saying, "That wasn't so bad", because it was just that easy. Lets not forget to mention the sense of accomplishment that you feel after you complete a task that shows or proves instant results.

Here are the few steps that will be necessary in order to change your FavIcon logo for your blogger account. Please note that if you do not have a Blogger blog then do not worry. The only thing that is different for you is how you will access your HTML that is your website.

Design or find a small logo that is 16 pixels by 16 pixels. This icon is going to be super tiny, but it will show up in the browser the size that it is supposed to be. You can use PhotoShop or Gimp (a free version of PS) to create your favicon in just a few seconds. I could even possibly help you in my spare time if you write me some feedback with your request.
Upload your favicon into a photo sharing service of your choice. You can use PhotoBucket, Picasa, Flickr, your own website hosting, or any other photo sharing website that you may know of. First create an account because most website will make you before they let you use their service. Once on your homepage or dashboard click on upload and browse through your files on your computer. Once uploaded you can get access to the sharing links, and what you are looking for is a direct HTML link to your picture. I use PhotoBucket in case you were wondering.
Access the HTML file for your website or blog. If you have a Blogger account then follow these steps directly for easy installation.

First sign into your account and click on the Layout link on the dashboard.

Next you will need to click on Edit HTML and once there click on the Download Full Template link. This will backup your template just in case you mess something up during the installation of your code.

Now you can click on the Expand Widget Templates check box that is directly above all that HTML that you are seeing.

Find the head tag of your template and post the code below directly after it. Make certain that you change the direct link in the below post twice. Each one will need to be the same as your direct link that you have from your hosting website.

To easily find the head tag press the CTL and the F key at the same time. This will make a search box pop up so you can type in the ending tag of the head tag. </head>

Once it is found that word on your blog template you can press enter directly after it and then copy and paste this code below it:

Simply save your template and then you are done. Go ahead and view your blog and make sure that your logo is showing up at the top like it is supposed to. If not, just upload your old template that you saved prior to editing and start over. If you feel up to it you could just find a part of that HTML tag and edit accordingly.

Alright world, get ready because now Google is taking on the world of URL Shortening. I have to say that this is totally amazing to me that they are able to keep expanding exponentially online the way that they have. I guess I would do the same if I ran a multibillion dollar company that has nothing better to do then to index and take over the entire internet.

As of today Google URL Shortener is not activated for broad user use. This means that if you go to the Goo.gl website to use their URL shortener then you will find out first hand that it is not currently up and running for public use. The downside to staying on top of technology is that you find out about cool features long before you get to use them! I will sit here twiddling my thumbs for another few months before Google is ready to release their product on the world. The upside, at least you get to know about it before the rest of the world by reading this today!

The official Google URL shortener website is very simple and to the point. As a matter of fact, with all the text that is on the page there are no more then 117 words total. There are three main reasons that they claim set them apart from the other link shrinker websites on the internet.

The three main points are discussed below:

Stability: The search engine is already pretty stable, but they are going to insure that your links are going to stick around for some time. Google is trying to make their URL shortener the best of the market by providing extermely long lasting stable links that are among the shortest out there.
Security: Google is developing their URL shortener to protect their users and the people who click their links from phishing and malware pages. I think that this is a great idea and I am sure that we will see more of this from other link shrinking sites soon.
Speed: Google plans to provide a fast resolution to short URLs, but I bet you already knew that. Speedy results is kind of their thing and all. Have you ever noticed that when you do a search for something that Google plops over a million pages in front of your face in less than a second or two? No wonder other search companies are straggling so far behind.

Yahoo Work From Home Kit Scam | Be Aware!

Wow really - these guys just do not give it up when it comes to the work from home scam. The Google Work From Home Package just became the Yahoo Work From Home Kit. It is amazing what people will do to scam other innocent people like yourself.

The main purpose of this article is to make people aware that the Yahoo Work From Home Kit is a total fraudulent online scam.
Discussed below are a few dead give aways as to why it is a scam, but then there is the small print in their Terms and Conditions that just seal the deal. The website that I am talking about probably popped saying that it is your city's local news or look like national news. Then it will have an "as seen on these websites" flashy banner that they use to convince you that they are legit. The main website behind all these scams is internetrichgurus.com and they use all the popular website logos to help push their scam to the public. Beware of this image because they are tricking people into thinking that they are legit.

This company claims that they will send you a package or C.D. in the mail for a small shipping fee. The shipping fee is only $2.95 at first, and then once you try to leave the page they discount the fee down to just one dollar. Hey, this sounds like a great deal to me, right? Wrong, and let me tell you why this is not a good deal. This company was in such a hurry to scam you that they didn't even finish converting their website over to Yahoo Work From Home Kit from the last scam they were pushing (Google Home Income).

Instant dead giveaways that Yahoo Work From Home Kit is a scam.

They were too lazy to finish the job. If you go to their website and look at the top of your browser for the websites title you will notice that it still says its Google Home Income. All these guys did was take out Google's logo because the search giant started to prosecute for logo infringement.
If you try to leave their webpage they will drop the price and ask if you would reconsider purchasing before you leave. Right on that "discounted price" form it states that you can get your Google Home Income kit for a dollar cheaper. Well for being a Yahoo Work From Home Kit is sure is not affiliated with Yahoo - it seems more affiliated with Google.
You can not access their main web address that is in the address bar. If you look at your address bar you will notice that the web link is a long extension off of the main URL. So I tried to take off the extension and tried to go to just the main website - which could not be found. Well sounds like they are trying to cover their tracks, and they are doing a great job at it so far.
No affiliation with Google or Yahoo disclaimer right at the bottom of the page. Yea, you read correctly - this website is trying to claim that you work for Yahoo or Google. Then as a legal disclaimer they state that they are in no way affiliated with the two companies. So if you work for Yahoo or Google wouldn't you need to be affiliated with them?

If you are graphically talented in any way then the switching of logos would be relatively easy. So this rip off artist gets sued by Google, and then switches the scam from Google's logo to Yahoo's rather quickly and got it up and running again. It is amazing how fast these guys work. Each time that there are too many complains the scammers switch the name to something else and get the scam going again.

Did you read their terms of service or their terms and conditions to their website? It is absurd because they send you a c.d. and then charge you a monthly fee of $75.00 to $100.00 each and every month. Once you sign up for the Yahoo Work From Home Kit you will be acknowledging their terms and conditions of service. This means that you basically agree that they are allowed to keep charging you month after month until you call to cancel. Everything that they accrue from you will be nonrefundable. You don't find any of this out until after the first month's bill. I know that it is going to be virtually impossible for you to get out of being charged from them. You will have to raise your voice and have a long verbal battle with that company to get them to stop billing you for nothing. The easiest way to get around this unjustified charging of your credit card if they do not cancel your account is to just cancel your card. You can also say that it was stolen and get a new one issued from your bank or creditor.

Do I really have to cancel my credit cards, what a pain in the neck?! I know that it will be a huge inconvenience to cancel your credit cards just because of some online scam, but it will save you tons of money in the long run. Yes you may have to wait a few days for a new card to come in the mail, but you can call your bank and speed up the process by getting a temporary card or at least the new numbers.

Still want to see what they have to offer? I can help you there and save you the headache of getting out of a money pit. These guys are giving you a C.D. to tell you to use affiliate marketing as a means of internet income. You sign up with a product and then you resell it for the company and get a percentage. Free Music On Google - About Musgle

If you follow this blog then you may remember a recent post about how to find free music on Google through some special search commands. Once that article was published I had received a flood of comments via my feedback button. People just were not quite understanding how to use the search commands discussed. Some of you just didn't understand where the music came from and never took it any further. Some of you guys picked up the concept of specialized search commands and are downloading free music right now. With everybody else in mind, I am here to talk about a non official Google Music search website called Musgle.

I can understand if you still need extra help in trying to understand where the music comes from. It can be hard to wrap your head around how you are getting free music online. The music that you are searching for is stored in someones online folders. These folders do not have passwords and they all got indexed by Google's search engine. This basically means that Google now knows all the best places to look for free music online. I have to say that if you do not own rights to the music then you technically should not download it. Like that has ever stopped anybody before, but I just thought that I would at least say it.

Now if you already understand where the music is stored then you may have been having problems with the actual search commands. That is why I scoured the internet in search of a web application that has the search commands already in place and just awaiting user input. It apparently is a combination of the two words Music and Google in that order. I dare you to try to say that website's name ten times as fast as you can. I have to say that once I did a search for a popular artist I found right away what I was searching for through both searches. You can imagine how happy I was once I found that out. (I get to blog about it to you guys!) I now lean towards using the website even though the search commands and the Musgle website brought up the exact same search results.

Look Ma - No Ads! What I mean is that the site is just a front for the keywords that were discussed in a previous article that I posted last month. (Here is that article) So you enter what you are looking for then you click search and get redirected to a Google search page that is displaying what you are looking for. Usually there are no sponsored listings due to the long and extensive search command that they use. Google matches the few keywords to ad groups that are with Adwords. So with the search command being so specific you will generally not have to worry about getting confused in all the sponsored listings.

The main positive aspect to Musgle search is that you do not have to remember all the specialized search commands to get access to the the free music on Google. Yes it was a little annoying to have to memorize the 65 character search query. I bet some of you can relate and say that it was also annoying when I was just copying and pasting back and forth from one opened tab to another. Now, with the website Musgle finding music on Google is much more simple and way easier to use.

I am going to have to say that Blog This! is one of the best features that I have found on Google Chrome. It has grown to become one of my all time favorite Chrome extensions. If you are curious as to how you can use Blog This! then check out this scenario that you may be able to relate to. Please note that if you do not have a blogger account then this extension would be inapplicable to you.

You are browsing through the internet on your few favorite websites. Then you have a small thought that you would like to blog about. You then open a new tab or window in your browser and then log into your blogger account to pull up a new post. Then you give a quick title and then paste the link to the topic you just thinking about. Ultimately you end up saving it as a draft so that you can edit the thought or idea later. Wait until you get a taste of the new Blogger add-on.

Blog This! is a great Google Chrome extension that allows the users to click on the Blogger "B" in the top right hand corner of their browser. You click it and then a tiny window pops up with your blog already synced to it. I have to say that Google has really done a great job with this blogger extension. As a matter of fact, I am currently writing this posting with the extension directly from this page: Google Chrome Extensions: Blog This! (by Google). It is amazing how much you can do with Google's new browser and all of their excellent extensions. (I had to go with the beta version because the normal version was a memory hog on my machine.)

If you are already a user of Chrome then you should look into getting the Blog This! extension just for the simple aspect of saving time. It is so much easier to just put your idea or thought into words as soon as you get one. The instantaneous blog ability can make even the most lazy bloggers active. I know that one first hand! This extension makes it easier to make money online just because you get more time in the long run to try to make your living. Seriously - the small things in life really add up. Quick fact, did you know that people spend a third of their life sleeping? That makes me want to learn how to cut back on sleeping and be more productive during my waking hours.

The obvious downside to this Google Chrome extension is that if you do not use Blogger then you will not be able to do anything with it. If this is applicable to you then you have two options that you are faced with. You could get a blogger account and use it for publishing your thoughts or you can just wait. I am sure that in due time there will be other extensions that will work with WordPress and other blog websites.

Let me tell you that HootSuite is one of the greatest tweet platforms that I have ever come across. That is saying alot considering I have dissected many tweeting platforms since Twitter was created. I knew from the get go that finding a smooth interface was going to be a necessary component to my social media marketing techniques.

So to better answer the question, "What is HootSuite?" I will flat out say that it is an online social networking media communication tool. The people who created it have totally intertwined it around the Twitter social network. The creators did an impeccable job at creating a multi account auto tweet platform that has a built in URL shortener for free!

One of the greatest things that comes with HootSuite is their great URL shortener ow.ly. Why is this such a big deal? Well, ow.ly tracks all their short links that they generate for you. That means that you will know who clicked on what link and what tweet it was from. That type of knowledge is a very powerful tool to have on your side, especially if you are an affiliate marketer.

Save your tweets now and post them later when you are not even on your computer. That is right, HootSuite allows its users to automate their tweets and post them at set time frames. You can track certain keywords and trends on Twitter. With being able to watch the rise and fall of your selected keywords an affiliate marketer could become pretty powerful. I believe that keyword and trend research is the way to build and use very potent and juicy keywords. Watch and track enough keywords and you could become a demigod of your niche industry online.

HootSuite is very user friendly and very customizable. One of the things that you can do is manage your columns. You can make them bigger or smaller depending on your prefrences. With the ability to move and swap your columns you can put things in your own order. Having this type of power over the HootSuite dashboard makes the users feel pretty comfortable with the switch to it's interface. I know that I personally had fun dragging my columns around my screen just dragging them and dropping them where ever I pleased.

What it all boils down to is that if you use social networking to make money online then you could greatly benefit form HootSuite. If you just like to communicate then you should still check it out because it is still a great Twitter platform for many reasons. You may want to know why you should use a URL shortener for your web address'? Why should you make your links shorter and why would you want to have them pointing to some other website? Where would you even have the need to use short URLs, and why would you need to use them there? I know that these may be just a few of the questions that are floating around in your head right now because I asked them to myself.

The simple concept behind a short URL is just that your link becomes much smaller. Thus making it less over all characters so that you have more room for your message, idea, or thought. I personally use them in many more ways then just one, and I use many of the best web link shortener websites in my opinion.

I have found that some of the URL shortening websites use tracking cookies with the new and smaller version. This is great way to see how many people actually click your links that you are tweeting about or that you have out there on any page.

A short URL is also a private or anonymous URL. If a person would want to see where the link leads to they would have to follow it or unshorten it with another web based application. Yes, it is possible to unshorten any short URL that you find. The website that I personally like to use is untiny.me. I like it so much because of the creative name that the web owners came up with. Un Tiny Me is in beta testing and is a great way to find out where people are sending you.

Bit.ly: This great web application provides a tweet client that is right on the main page. Just click share and then start tweeting your link then refresh your page and wait for your clicks to start rising through the roof. The tracking from this website is in real time.
Ow.ly: This is another great URL shortener that you could use that also provides a way to track your links. The downside to this web application tracking feature is that it is not in real time. The upside is that you can use HootSuite which is a better tweet platform to send your tweets from. Not to mention that you can save your tweets and send them off at a later time. (This is not a feature that many people provide - let alone a URL shortening website)
TinyUrl.com: As the name states - this website provides a tiny URL in trade for your long links. The name pretty much sums this one up. Currently, at the time of this post, there is no way to track your links that you shorten with this website. Not unless you shorten your link with bit.ly then re-shorten with tinyurl.com, but I do not see the effectiveness in that.
Is.gd: These people have probably got the Url shortening business down to the least amount of characters possible. So if you just need to squeeze a few more characters out of your tweet then use this URL shortener and you will succeed. Please keep in mind that this website is extremely basic, but it is still a great service so I thought I would include it.
Cli.gs: Yet another shortener that tracks your links clicks, and you can even post onto identi.ca.

You want to know how to add a fixed or stationary feedback button to your website or blog. I know because I was searching through Google to find out how to add a stationary feedback button to my site just the other day. It took me some time to find a good posting with a walk through, but it was still unclear about a few aspects of "how to" do it. Luckily I have some experience in those areas so I could figure that part out.

I will break it down into an easy to read tutorial or guide that explains exactly how to add the fixed feedback button to your blog or website. The first things you will need to do is to get a button that you want to use. I personally just created one in Gimp (a free Photoshop knock off), but I am sure that there are many out there on the internet.

Get your feedback button hosted, and I suggest that you sign up with Photobucket.com or a similar site to host your button. If you can get a direct link to another premade feedback button then you do not have to download and upload anything to anywhere. I already had a Photobucket account and I have the ability to make a simple button, so I went that route.

Alright, so you have found your button and have it uploaded or at least have a direct link to somebody else's uploaded pre-made feedback button. The next thing that you will need to do is to create a "Contact Me" or "Feedback" page on your website or blog. Once you have all of that figured out then you are ready to learn exactly how to add a feedback button to your website or blog.

I use blogger so I will walk you guys through the steps to adding the feedback button to your blogger blog. (For other blogs sites or websites just find your HTML or XML layout area) I love blogger because you can just add a gadget to your website and then you are practically done with the hard part. Follow the steps listed below for an easy installation of your feedback button.

Sign in to your blog or website.
Click the layout link (or get to your layout area if not using blogger)
Click the Add Gadget link (or get into your HTML area of your website if not using blogger)
Then select HTML/JAVASCRIPT as your gadget.
Then copy, paste, and edit the code below into the new gadget. (You can copy and paste into your sites HTML if not on blogger)

Copy and paste this code: (a class="feedback" href="http://your-contact-page-link-here/" style="bottom: 350px; display: scroll; left: 0px; position: fixed;" title="Send Us Your Feedback")(img src="http://Your-feedback-button-direct-link-here" /)(/a)

- Change the ( )'s to <>'s when you paste the code to your site. I had to convert to parenthesis so the command wouldn't execute on my blog.

Alright - let me explain a little bit about what you just did or how to change the placement of your button. You just placed it 350 pixels from the bottom of the page and 0 pixels from the left side of the page.

How to edit or change placement of your feedback button on your blog or website: If you want your button on the right of the page then change the word "left" to "right". If you want the button down from the top then you can change the word "bottom" to "top". You will have to play around with the placement by changing the "350" to your desired number, and you can change "0" to whatever you want.

I suggest that you play around with those settings in button edit area so that you can find the best placement that suites your site. You can add other buttons as well and create a menu along one side of your website or blog!

Free Backlinks With Article Marketing

How are you going to build free nonreciprical backlinks to your website? I know that it can be hard to do this and that it can be time consuming. I will tell you the most effective way that I know about how to build free backlinks to your website. I suggest you look into article marketing - submit articles to article directories and put a link back to your website.

Time is going to pass each and everyday and there is nothing that we can do about it, at least not yet anyway. You may as well as build a backlink daily or weekly so that over the course of a year you could put 52 to 365 solid one way and free backlinks to your website. I suggest using article marketing to leverage your website above the rest of your competition in your niche category.

Why use article submissions to article directories as a form of marketing? In short, article directories are huge sites and generally have a decent Google page rank. If you can get inbound links from large websites with a nice page rank then you can get above the rest of the pack in your niche area. This method has recently come about and has proven to work many times over. The concept of free backlinks is old, but article marketing is a new outlook on the old idea.

Will any article directory work or does it have to be a special one? Well, to answer that question I would say that no - any ol' article directory will not suffice. You should do some minor research on the directories that you want to work with. I suggest not submitting your writing to directories with a low page rank and duplicate content. Which brings me to my next area of discussion.

Can I just copy and paste my current blog articles into a directory and submit it? Yes, you can and no you can all at the same time. I say that yes you can because who is going to stop you? I say no you can because it will be a duplicate copy of your exact text that is already out there on your blog. Google is the main search engine right now and they penalize duplicate content. That search company would rather take both results out of their index than have both listed. So if you want to go backwards then go ahead and take the shortcut and replicate your content.

What should I do if I do not want to create new content just for the directories? I do not have the time to rewrite all my articles, but I want free backlinks. That is a great question that has been emailed to me about 250 gazillion times already. (Yes, slightly over exaggerated) To answer the question I would say that you should just copy and paste your currently written content and then reword most of it. Yes, this can be a royal pain in the rear however it will save you tons of time if you just rephrase your current text. Espeically if it is your work already - it is easy to spin off of a topic that you already know about. This is not the same as just duplicating your ideas because you will be converting the thoughts to new original works.

Alright - I am sold on the idea of how to get free backlinks with article marketing, but where should I start? If you are looking for a solid place to get started then you can utilize some of these directories below. I suggest using a few to get started with. I feel that it is better to use a few article directories multiple times for multiple articles rather then use many directories once for just one article. I typically use about 3-5 good article directories and so far I am happy with the results that they have been giving me.

Google Music | Find Music On Google

Google Music - wow, what a concept. Do you think that the search engine company will eventually have an extension that will allow users to directly download from a search page? I personally think that they will offer this as a service, and I believe that it will be free to anybody with a Google account.

Knowing Google they will most definitely provide all the media for free somehow. Sometimes I really do not know how their stuff is free, but that company always seems to find a way. People do not experience the world the same way thanks to Google. The human race will evolve faster intellectually with all the information in the world at it's fingertips. The other night I was explaining to my daughter about how hard it used to be to do basic homework.

Me: "If you were assigned a paper on something then you would have to get a ride or walk to the library to get a book about it. However, it is not that easy - you have to find the right book first. Then once you find the right book you have to read most of it to find what you are looking for."

Her:"You are tricking me, aren't you?"

Me: "No - Dotty, I am not tricking you."

Her: "Where was Google?"

Me: *Shakes my head and silently laughs to myself.* "They didn't have the internet back then."

Her: "WHAT?!?!"

Note to reader: I call her Dotty because she called me Daddy when she as younger. One day I just called her Dotty and she liked it then it sort of just stuck around with her.

What I am trying to get at is that the world has changed so much because of instant communication and quick data relay. Google has been the number one search engine for some time so they must be doing their part in helping. They got so huge because they were offering everything for free, and this is why I eventually see a Google Music Search feature or at least an extension software product of the company. As a matter-o-fact the company has provided many free products such as:

GMail
Maps
Voice - Voice messaging service that transcribes your voice mail into a text and sends it to your phone
Calender
Docs - Excel, PowerPoint, Notes, and Word
Sites - A product that lest you build and host a website totally for free.
Etc. - They provide too much to name here in this one article.

As of today a person would be able to search for music on Google easily utilizing some basic search commands. You could find open directories to download the music from, you could find FTP files that contain music, and it could all be free if you know how to access it. A person could also stream the and play the Google Music online through their "OneBox Discover Music" specialized search page.

I wonder if and how the music industry will try to penalize Google Music once it is offered up to the world for free. Will the prosecutors even get away with it or will high power Google attorneys overturn the charges? Why would someone pay for something when they could find it for free right on the internet?

So as of right now downloadable Google Music is not allowed. However, you are capable of streaming songs over the search engine with Discover Music on Google. (Click Here For Music) If you want to find downloadable songs then use the command listed below to find what song you are looking for.

You can substitute the artist from "Lady GaGa" to whatever you are searching for. Whatever music source doesn't have passwords and no listing custom privacy settings will pull up in Google's search results.

People ask me this question all the time via email. I have to say that there is no guaranteed super fast way to make a small fortune online. However, there are tons of easy long term ways to make money online. People do not even realize how easy it is sometimes so they just give up. I am here to tell you that I am living proof that the systems work, but they are terribly time consuming.

Let me explain a little about my opinion on how to make money online easy. I have spent many years of my life trying to make a living from the internet. I have been caught up in many MLM and pyramid schemes that ended up with all my money. I have affiliate marketed products and never got any returns and the ones that I did get paid on didn't cover my advertising budget. The point is that I have been through the ups and downs of how to make money online. I have seen the nitty and the gritty while I was learning my inside information. I am willing to teach you everything that I know, and all you have to do is read and apply.

First I would like to say that in order to make money online you may have to spend a little money online. This is an age old concept that applies to just about anything. I would say that a good place to spend your first $10 would be on a domain name. With just about anything you will need a webpage to promote whatever it is that you decide to promote.

Now that you have a website you can decide what route you want to go to make money online. Do you want to make money promoting affiliate links? Do you want to make money online blogging about current events or your own opinions? Maybe you would like to dip off into get paid to sites and make a small chunk of change there. Once you decide how you want to make money then you can proceed onward toward financial freedom.

Niche Blogging:

The easiest way to make money online would be through blogging. If you can write about a niche topic and write quality content you can make decent residual income. The problem with this method is that it will take some time to leverage into place. So money overnight is out of the question with this path.

Once you take the time to get organic search result rankings high you will get tons of traffic for free. This system is by far the most powerful. The idea is to become an expert in your niche or filed of interest. Once you are established you will bring in amazing traffic that will convert over to massive income. By learning this method to make money online you will be able to make everything else work for you. The hardest part is getting all the traffic to work for you.

Affiliate Marketer:

In my opinion this is the best "concept" to make money online for free. You do not have to own the products you just have to promote them. How you may ask, you can use your website to build a very visually stimulating landing page to an affiliate link. Your affiliate link could promote the hottest eBook that is currently selling. You could be an affiliate for Amazon.com and be getting a percentage of everything purchased through your link.

Here is an example that one person in every family could do. You could make money off of your family and friends by setting up a page full of online shopping networks that will pay you a percentage of the sales. Then you can make everybody around you purchase through your page. This is a great way to get other people to pay for your holiday gifts. I know some people who spend close to a grand for the holidays. Through some affiliate links I could earn up to $300 off of their purchases alone.

Viral Celebrity:

Another way to make money online would be to go viral on YouTube.com or any other similar site. Do you have a good personality, and a desire to be a celebrity? Well, with those two character traits you could go far with a video site such as YouTube. Some people get paid just to make videos of themselves doing nothing. (I do not know why people watch some of the stuff that they do!) If you can get video views up to a million or more then you have serious Adsense potential. If you had a website that was attached as a link via the description you could get traffic back to your website as well. That is an easy way to get traffic twice off of the same people.

Online Business Is Booming:

If you are a local service business provider then you could make money online by going online. What I mean is that I find millions of contractors that do not have a website that promotes their company. I did an experiment with a contractor awhile back that doubled his leads and ended up convincing him to get online.

Let me put it super simple... Phone books are a waste of paper and are obsolete. If I need ANYTHING, I just get online and find it either with my Ipod, computer, or phone. Yeah, it is that easy to find something. If you are a local service company you are missing out on the online potential. Make money online just by getting your brand on the net. It is the most simple business decision that you can make, and you will find out that it is the best one as well.

So if you are out there trying to figure out how to make money online then spend a little more time taking action. It is so easy to read the "how to" tutorials, but it is hard to actually get motivated enough to apply the great information. I hope that I have helped you in your quest to make money online easy. Shop Online With Online Pet Stores

With everybody trying to go as green as possible I thought that I would mention to shop online for your pets as well. According to the American Pet Products Association the pet industry hit a record high of $45.4 billion. If you think about it - a substantial amount of the money spent was at the actual stores. That means that people jumped in their cars and went to the closest local pet store to buy things. This creates tons of CO2 emissions that eat away at our atmosphere.

My philosophy is that you can get free shipping, save time, and save money all by using online pet stores. Some of the pet stores that are online often offer bigger discounts than the local guys. People are finding out that it is easier to just order a puppy pee pad or some food right from their phone. Think of the shipping process as being the most ultimate car pooling ever. Yes, there will be an increase of trucks on the highway delivering products. The few extra big trucks that are required to move the products around are much better then all 301 million Americans on the roads at the same time trying to pick up cat liter or dog food. After a long and hard stressful day at work who wants to worry about having to stop at a store on the way home?

I have found a great website that sells pet meds online. I am talking about 1800PetMeds.com and I recommend them because I found answers there where none could be found locally. I had to get something for my little black pomeranian dog awhile back. My local store had what I was looking for, but at an outrageous price. I got upset and jumped on my Ipod Touch right there in the store, found what I was looking for, showed the clerk that it was cheaper, and bought my pet meds online right there at the counter. (I get like that when I am passionate about something.)

As of right now, I only have this great online pet store for you. I have not shopped at any others recently due to not having the need for anything. Once I shop at another online pet store I will post my experience here for all to read. I really hope that you guys consider going to online pet shops instead of the local pet supermarkets. In the long run - the internet could save humanity tons and tons of money! Think about it...

How To Get Invited To Google Wave | Get Your Google Wave Account

Today I officially got more invites to hand out. The last time I sent them out the people I sent them to didn't utilize Wave at all. This set of invites I am sending them to the people who really want them. Why waste them on someone who wont even use the service, right?

You may have missed the first and second wave of invitations, but your window of opportunity is still open. Tell me about why you want a Google Wave invite and what you plan to do with your new Wave Account. Do you plan to monetize Google Wave or do you plan to use it to replace the way that you communicate with today's world. Tell me in your own words why you need your Wave account. Please do not spam the Wave invite request form. Only submit your request once, all duplicates will be removed from the wish list.

As you are probably guessing there is a limited number of invitations to hand out. This is why I am asking for people to tell me what they plan on doing with their new Wave accounts. Why give an invitation to someone who is never going to sign in when there are people willing to pay to get invited? (I would never charge for a Google Wave invitation, but many people do)

I know that from my own personal experience I was searching the internet looking for a sure fire way to get my Google Wave invite. I found that there is no guarantee's, but I was happy to find someone like myself who was generous with their invites.

Tweet Directly From Google Wave - Easy Way To Tweet With Google

Did you know that you can tweet directly from the inside of your Google Wave account. This is crazy that this is already a possibility, and that people are already doing it. Wave was just recently released on an invitation only basis. Some developers have already put together an application that will tweet with waves. Talk about quick!

There are pro's and con's to this free way to tweet from Google, but I believe that the good outweighs the bad. The positive aspect is that you can use one account to tweet from instead of signing into multiple webpages. You can add people to your wave and then they can tweet for you. The downside is that there is no URL shortener just yet so you have to use your pre-made short URL'S. Also if you do happen to add someone to your wave and they tweet something that you dislike or do not approve of, well there isn't much you can do about it.

Yes, it is amazing that you can edit your tweets or someone else's tweets in real time right from Wave. It is amazing that the new Google product is so new yet so many innovations are already popping up from all corners of the internet. It is also amazing that there is so little information about how to do this with Google Wave and Twitter.

I decided that I would share with my readers about how to tweet from a wave. Believe it or not there is no downloading or special codes to copy and paste. If you want to tweet directly from your Google Wave account then all you need to do is create a contact for the Tweety bot. Scroll on over to you contacts area and look for the little "+" key and click it. Once the next box pulls up enter the contact name just as it is shown here: tweety-wave@appspot.com.

That is that hardest thing that is required of you. The next part is even easier because all you will do is create a new wave, invite the Tweety Bot into your wave, then validate your Twitter account right from inside the wave. Then you are DONE!

I told you that it would be easy to setup, and now all you have to do is stop reading and actually take the time to do it. I am sure that there will be modifications and add-ons that will greatly increase the wave/tweet productivity. I think that it would be awesome to have a URL shortener application that is right inside of our Google Wave accounts. That way I do not have to swap tabs back and forth getting or finding the link that I am looking for.

What are some interesting things that you guys would like to see in the near future? I am super excited to see the responses on this article's topic. I believe that if we can get public awareness to a high enough we will get some action response. It would be nice to see suggestions here actually get followed through by some API developers.

Google Free Music Search | Discover Music On Google

Free music through the Google website. Wow, as if it was enough that Google has been taking over the internet with all their products. Now they are offering a music search option that allows the searcher to play the song right form the search page. You can click here to discover music through Google music search.

As with anything that is through Google the music search feature is a free extension of their website. The technical name for the search feature is "Discover Music", and it does exactly that for you. Ever wanted to hear a song before you went out to the store and bought the album. Of course you do, and if you're like me you don't want to take chances downloading these days. There are horrendous viruses everywhere and not to mention the music industry is taking everybody to court.

How can you go wrong with playing a song directly through the Google search engine? I don't think that you can. That's the reason that I decided that I would tell all of my readers about it. I figured that you could either save money on gas or you can save money by not purchasing the wrong album. How can you go wrong by using the discover music feature?

Now, I do have to inform you that if you try to search on regular Google you will not find the free music. You have to use their special music search landing page. The special web address for the music search is http://www.google.com/landing/music. Just click that and bookmark it and you will have easy access to free Google music.

As of right now Google does not offer the songs to be downloaded and kept on your computer. Who is to say that this will not eventually happen in the future. It is so hard to tell with how much the search engine company already does for the internet. Some music artist are not too happy with this new music feature and only allowing a sample to be played on Google. Eventually, the music industry will have to acknowledge the music search feature because it will be more publicly known. Until then continue to search for all you music for free right from Google.

Yeah, a free operating system that will eventually put down the software giants such as Microsoft, Apple, or even Linux. Not only is the operating system free, Google is giving the users the possibilities of server back up with everything done on the machine. This means that is the end of the computer hard drive as we all know it.

You will never lose your documents in a crash, a virus or malicious software will never erase or effect your personal data, and you will not be limited to access from just one machine. You will be able to save your paperwork and get to the office then pull it up on that computer. You can edit something on your phone - lose your phone and still have all your contacts saved online in your Google account.

That is one thing that people are foreseeing as a downside to the Chrome free operating system. You will have to have a Google account in order to access most of the features. I say, so what? I personally have probably three accounts or more that I use on a daily basis from Google. With everything being free you will have no investments into the operating system switch other than your time involved.

Microsoft just put out Windows 7 operating system. I believe that they are selling it for around $119 to $219 for their newest operating platform, that is only a couple of years older then their last version. I can see how they could be worried about the fact that Google will offer something similar but it is faster and also free. Google has leaked a version that can be installed on your current system. Alright guys, I now know how important that this subject is to you. I have literally had almost 100 emails requesting additional GPT websites or just the basic information as to how these sites work. GPT sites basically middle man market research companies and the prospects, which would be you and me. Since market research via telemarketing is an obsolete source of information companies are going different routes. They decided to just pay outright to the prospects via the middle man. Filling out an IQ test can be a lot more fun then answering some aggressive telemarketers calls. It is just as simple and as easy as that. Really there is no scam involved, and to top it off you can get a percentage of what your referrals make. Don't worry, it wont come out of their earnings but it will come out of the get paid to site's earning. Alright, here is a posting that you will love. I am going to be exposing internet scams online right here on this blog. I also urge everybody and anybody to give your two cents. If you know of an internet scam that is taking people's money then please post it in a comment. I will check it out, and if it is truely a scam I will add it to my list of internet scams to avoid.

I am sure that many of you have heard of the older MLM Scams, Ponzi Scams, and Pyramid Schemes. Then there are more recent endeavors that exploit brand names such as Google. Yes, there is even a Google scam out there. The one in particular is the Google Package Scam. This clever little setup gets your credit info to process a charge of $1, and if you like the product they will charge you $75 in three days. The product doesn't even get to your home until after the 5th day and then you get stuck with almost $100 invested into something that just tells you to affiliate market.

Why pay for free common knowledge. They suggest that people should post links on Google and get paid to do so. What they mean is that you sign up with Google Adwords, find a product then pay to have your links active. If you have a decent enough ad then you will get some people to purchase the product that you are pushing. You will then get paid the percent that is prearranged and setup by the actual product owner.

2.Yahoo Work From Home Kit: Another way to scam people using a brand name search engine. Actually this internet scam to get your money is an exact knockoff of the Google Home Income scam, which is through the same guys as the scam above! It is crazy out much money these guys make scamming all of us. If they can get a million people to pay $2.95 for shipping they will have almost 3 million to work with. Then in 30 days you will get charged another $100 and they will walk away with an easy $100 million combined total. With all the financial backing they have these scammers are able to find legal loopholes through high power attorneys. Every so often they quit and create a new name with the same product so they can scam to earn another few million...

3. Stimulus Package or Higher Refund Scam: This scam is a very new one that has resulted form the Bush administration. With the promise of extra money, the scam artist are using .gov websites and graphics to ask for your personal information. That is the main give away, the IRS will not contact you via email and ask who you are. They already know that part!

Is The Google Package A Scam? | Can You Make Money With Google Package

You are reading this and if you are it is for good reason. You simply do not want to get suckered into any scams. Making $200-$900 a day does sound great but in the same token it sounds a little exaggerated.

Now, do not get me wrong I am not claiming to know every persons results. What I am doing is compiling everybody's possible experiences and my common sense or basic logic into this one article.

Did you find out about the Google Work From Home package via some ad that stated that you can make big money from Google? Yes, you most likely did, because those ads are everywhere. Generally if something sounds or looks too good to be true then it is usually just that, too good to be true.

The Google Package sign up page will route you to some very basic landing page. There is three to four boxes asking for your personal information such as your email address, name, and phone number. Once you fill out the form then you will be re-directed to another page that explains a little about the system.
Now most people do not take the time to read all of their terms and conditions or the fine print at the bottom of the screen in size 8 pt. font. However, I am not like most people and actually did read all the fine print and all the terms and conditions of service.

First, the Google Package Scam requires you to pay an up front fee of $1. This doesn't sound like an absurd amount of money to ask for especially if the system will bring you checks of a more than grand a week. Wrong, because in the terms and conditions and in the fine print you are signing up for a recurring subscription in the sum of $74.97 to be billed monthly. Yeah, that is a big difference from the measly one dollar.

The system requires that you cancel your subscription within 3 days after signing up to receive the information in the mail. Now, I can not speak for the entire country, but the parcel post takes a minimum of 3 days an usually they take a full 7 business days to deliver anything across country. So they require you to cancel within the three days, but do not deliver the product until the fifth day. That doesn't make sense to me. I am sure that they will not cancel the product for you until after you have officially tried it, meaning that they will get the payment from you of $74.97 plus their one dollar shipping charge.

Logic is telling me that the whole thing is a scam. I mean a huge scam, because the founders of the Google Work From Home Package are capitalizing on the entire country's recession. More and more people everyday are searching for a way to make money online, and these guys make you pay for a system that will just tell you to affiliate market other products with Google Adwords, then charge you $75 each and every month for that useless free information.

If you are still interested in trying to make money online then check out some of the sites to the right. They all provide you a means to make money online, but not a single one will charge you money ever. You shouldn't have to pay money to work for someone. If you want to get rich overnight then please stop reading and go rob a bank because there is practically no way to get hundreds of dollars overnight. (If the system was so easy that you didn't have to do much wouldn't everybody know about it and be making that free easy money too?)

Google Wave and CashCrate | Combine Forces And Earn More

So guys I got my Google Wave invite today. (Thanks to Jeigh) From the time that I knew that I was invited until today I was extremely excited. I have been thinking about all the money making possibilities that are going to arise with the combination of Wave and anything else. Each month I pull in at least $300 a month or more just doing this simple process. Some months I make closer to $600 when I fill out some trial offers and play the "free trial" cancellation game.

Get 10 people who each in return do the same goal of $10 a day. This will greatly boost the earnings that you will receive. If they each make $300 a month you will earn $60 as your referral bonus. 10 * $60 = $600 + Your Original $300 = $900.

Encourage them to each get 10 people they can trust to actually complete the system under them. That way your referrals can earn $900 a month too. It is only fair to share! Here is the kicker.

If you get your 10 people who each have 10 people you will be earning money off of 111 people. 1 person being you, 10 being 1st level referrals paying you each 25% of their earnings, and 100 people that pay you 10% of their earnings.

Google Wave is a networking open source based communication platform. Google as a company is known for simplifying the internet and making everything easier to use for free. If you are wondering who I mean by "networking giants" they are FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, and Xanga.

No matter what you may think, there is a right way and a wrong way to use Twitter to promote your online business, website, or CashCrate referral link. Most of them are 100% free and the few that cost you money are relatively cheap. 15 ways to drive traffic to your blog or website promoting your CashCrate referral link:

1. Get started with a signing up for Blogger or Wordpress to start promoting your website or your CashCrate referral link. 6. You can do rinse, reuse, and recycle your blogs through article directories. First do some organic searching for some free article directories that you can submit your content to. I would work with as many as you can, however if you work with at least 5 you can see results. Take your original blog postings and rewrite them for separate keywords. Mention your website via a link or in your description in the articles that you are submitting. No matter what, always consider the fact that you are writing for humans and not for computers.

7. Trying to find out if CashCrate.com is a scam or if it is legit? Well you must be if you are reading thi article, and especially if you found it through a search engine such as Google. I was just like you not wanting to get caught up in a CashCrate scam. I checked into this get paid to concept and decided that I would give it a full try for at least 30 days. Here are my actual findings and what I experienced after a month.

Some of you may have started up with Cash Crate via a link on the website. If you have not visit the button to the right or simply click here. Now that you are started you may be a little worried about getting telemarketers calling your number or miscellaneous junk mail.

I have figured it all out for you! If you take the time to request your Google Voice number and use it you will be happy a few weeks from now. With your Google number you can simply block all the unwanted calls for free. It's extremely easy. I would also enlist your Google number into the National Do Not Call Registry if you are worried about getting calls.

Now for the junk mail that you expect to be getting from the offers through the Cash Crate System. That part was easy with Google's Gmail messagng service. It is free and it a prerequisite to the Google Voice sign up. Believe me you want this service.

Yes, it can be confusing trying to remember all the dates that everything will have to be canceled on, and what forms you filled out. However, I can simplify your method and help you keep track of what you are doing.

By utilizing a Google account you will be able to organize everything that is going on. Everytime that I submit for a trial offer that has to be cancelled I also put the date on my Google Calander right away. I make it notify me via text message before it expires. Then I just log onto the computer and cancel.

I fill out all the forms amazingly quick so that I take a 5 minute survey in less then 2 minutes. I use the free software program called RoboForm. You have to input your information one time into the program and it will fill out the main parts of the forms and surveys that you need it to.

With your Gmail account, Google Calender, and your RoboForm you will be making money quicker then you would know it. As I previously stated, I made $67 dollars in three hours in my spare time. Google Voice eliminates the need to go through all 20 voice mails that you have been dreading checking for the past few days. Block them from calling your phone line easily and they will hear a very real message that tells them; "The number you have dialed is no longer in service, if you feel that you have reached this recording in error then hang up and dial again." - This is handy! I currently have a blocked group with over 100+ numbers that NEVER ring my phone again!

Some of you may have a website or two and want to give your users a free option to contacting you. Google Voice offers Widgets that can be placed on your website. Even on free websites or sites hosted through Google such as Google Sites. If you have many websites just set the call widget to certain voice mail messages and answering options.

IPocket T.V. IPod Touch And IPhone Application | Free Cable T.V. And Movies

I was thinking the same thing that you are probably thinking right now. How can this be possible? How am I going to get all this free media entertainment in the first place? In the second place, I do not want to watch it on a tiny screen. The Ipod Touch and IPhone's both have the same sized screen, only one is a phone.

I can understand these thoughts that you may be thinking this very moment. However, I do want you to continue to read and hear me out. What is five minutes of your time if it will teach you how to save money for years to come? They say to teach a man to fish, right?

If you follow this blog then you will notice a previous article that talks about jailbreaking the IPod Touch. (Click that link to see that article) This is a requirement to setting up the applications that I will be discussing. Jailbreaking the device opens up the possibilities that are available to the owner. Once you get your hands on the Icy or Cydia installers then you will need to look up IPocket T.V. and download it. This is so great because it allows the user to download movies that are made in the .MP4 format. (All PSP movies will play on the IPod Touch or the IPhone.) The builder of this application in discussion host the movies and we just copy or check them out. He accepts donations, but it is still free. I do not know if he will continue to post the movies and television episodes if he does not get his donation mark...

So if you follow these directions and find this application then you will be half of the way to full time media entertainment for free via your IPod Touch or IPhone acting as your filter. I have weighed the options of losing my IPod Touch or IPhone -VS- Losing all the files on my more expensive computer. I do want my readers to know and understand that there are risks involved with everything, and that is why I created this blog. I test the features discussed and prove their legitimcy. Then I post my results here and you guys have the first hand reviews of the programs that are in high demand right now.

Now the only problem is getting the IPod movie from IPocketTV onto a bigger screen. You may be thinking that it will involve some decent computer skills or hacking. You may also be thinking that this is a waste of time because the resolution will be worse once it gets blown up. People, you are correct with the thought process, however there are ways to keep the same quality and not have any special hacking skills.

How To Jailbreak The IPod Touch 2nd Gen | Save Money and Open Up The IPod's Touch Possibilities

So you may be wondering how to jailbreak your new Ipod Touch 2nd Generation. I can help you with that information by posting the steps that I took. These steps will cut out the research time that was involved in trying to figure this thing out. (Not to mention that you will not have to randomly download a ton of viruses trying to get the correct software for this procedure.)

So step one will be to make certain that you have the correct software already installed on your Ipod Touch. The reason that I say this is because there is no way to jailbreak the latest software as of yet. So, if you want the capabilities of the free applications and media then you will need to have a slightly older version of Ipod Touch. It's not like the newest version is much better. Technology is evolving rapidly and sometimes the newest version is already outdated!

So to figure out what version of the Ipod Touch software that you are running is to plug it into your computer. If you do not have the sync cables then you will need to find some. I recently bought all new cables off of Amazon.com. Check here for a cheap set of Ipod cables. I believe that that link will get you cables for around $5 dollars.

Alright so you have connected your Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. to your computer. Now open up ITunes or download the latest version from here. With the most updated version of ITunes and an Ipod Touch synced to the computer you will be able to find out more about your device. On the left hand side of the ITunes program search for the "Devices" tab. If you have one then you have your IPod correctly synced to ITunes. If not, then you will need to unplug and re-install the ITunes software. Yes this can be irritating if things do not work out smoothly the first time, however once you get your IPod Touch unlocked or jail broken you will be thanking the stars!

If you can tell what version that you have then and only then can you precede,. and I say this because you can mess up your device with installing the wrong Jailbreak software. I feel like this is a good a time as any to disclaim the fact that if you mess up your IPod Touch it is at your own doing. I am writing a guideline on how to do this yourself and save money. I do not claim to be the leading expert in this field.

The video at the top of the screen is the very video that I watched to get my IPod Touch 2nd generation working as a jailbroken device. Apple IPod Touch : Modern day advanced technology right in the palm of your hand.

If you can muster up the funds for a IPod Touch then about why it is worth the money. The IPod Touch is such a great system, and I did not know its capabilities until I got my hands on one. Not to mention the sleek design of the little black touch screen being literally the size of a pack of cigarettes, and weighs probably a bit less as well.

Anybody would think that the IPod offered a sophisticated music player with some decent internal storage. Some would even think that a person could or would be able to watch some video on their IPod devices as well. However, what people fail to realize is that the previous two media applications discussed are just the very tip of the iceberg.

The software packs a punch and I am quite serious about that. IPod devices can surf the web with a beautiful user interface provided by the Safari application. Not to mention all the gaming downloads that you can get from the app store. You can even view emails and sync with all your files via ITunes right from your desktop computer.

People keep up to date with MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter accounts right from their IPods. It is pretty cool that you can push a button to check all your email accounts in one whack. I have 10 email accounts and now it is super easy to check them. Now lets talk about the information that I have compiled here that lets you utilize the IPod capabilities to your advantage.

This software can be hacked as with anything in today's world. Once this the IPod device is hacked, all of the sudden a bunch of doors open up for the possible things that can be done with it. Hacking an Apple IPod is called Jailbreaking. I do not know why it is called jailbreaking, but it just is. Maybe it is in reference to breaking free from the confines of the mans bars, or maybe not. Either way, I still do not understand why the need for the term jailbreak, but it seems to work.

You may be thinking to yourself about what could be so good about hacking the IPod? What are the negative consequences to a jailbreak or hack that opens up the IPod? Will I be able to do this hacking part myself?

If you were asking these questions then you indeed have good questions.

Would you want access to hundreds of free applications for your IPod Touch? Are you sick of paying for app's on ITunes that you do not even use? You can download music for free via an application called "dTunes". It can be downlloaded via the Cydia or Icy installers on the IPod or Iphone, once it has been jailbroken. You can download full length movies for free right onto your IPod Touch via an application called "iPocketTV".

If you are into games then read futher to find out how that you can install gaming emulators onto your IPod Touch or IPhone. Yeah, you read correctly. An IPod touch can run Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, PSP, and Playstation One. Each system can have hundreds of rom downloads available at the touch of a finger.

The biggest bad thing that I can come up with is that hacking the IPod Touch voids the manufacture warranty that you may have on your device. A simple restore to manufacture defaults can fix that though. (I will discuss them in the article that teaches how to jailbreak the IPod Touch software.)

I found my IPod Touch on Craigslist.org for extremely cheap. Some other good sources would be Ebay.com or Amazon. However, I feel that purchasing good used high end electronics off of Craigslist for a cheap price seem to work out for me.

As always this blog discusses ways to utilize existing services to save money or how to save money with minor or small investments. The IPod Touch is such a great investment that I will be writing separate articles discussing the highlights of this outline. Save Gas Everywhere | Ways To Save Our Natural Resources Without Much Compromise

This blog is about an obvious conclusion to saving on gas for your everyday expenditures. The simple soultion to save the most on gas is to just not use it. Buy a bike and ride to where you need to. However, most of reading this posting are not going to just give up your vehicle nor are you going to just stop using gas. So, I have put together a few gas pinching tips that will save you thousands of dollars on hundreds of gallons of gas over your lifetime.

The government recently has been trying to jumpstart the economy. Obama has been issuing money left and right to people with no discrimination. He is trying to get mothers to go back to school, he issues a homebuyer loan that practically gives the receipient about 8,000 dollars, and he recently issued a huge sum to be paid for "clunkers". I know many people that have traded in their junker cars and got a brand new or like new car for a steal, financially speaking.

The reason why this may help a person to save money is because the cars are newer models. The car industry has taken a turn for the better. What I mean is that we will see cars getting higher Miles Per Gallon straight out of the factory. By trading in your junker and then getting into a newer car a person would be saving the environment and gaining about 10-20 additional miles per gallon.

A very simple solution is to check your fluids and make sure that they are at the correct levels. Do not make your car have to strain or over work to get to your destination. There is no actual proof that if your car stresses that it uses more gas, but it is a logical assumption in my opinion.

Another super easy way to save on gas is to correct the tire pressure in your tires. Having the recommended pounds of pressure will help to improve your gas miles. Having too much and too little can prove to be devastating to your gas tank over the course of a year or two.

Also buy and use radial ply tires, they will last longer with the correct tire pressure. These particular tires will also alert the consumer when the tire needs to be replaced. There are obvious signs and signals that come from the tires just before they will blow out. There may be rough driving, a bulge in the tire to one side, or the entire car may feel like one tire is flat somewhere. These warning signals can be a great asset to know about when you are driving around town. Especially if your about to get on the interstate and your car starts shaking!

Get a wheel alignment to better your gas miles. I am not quite sure how this one exactly plays into the savings, but I know that many local mechanics have recommended doing this procedure. I know that I did save maybe an extra mile or two per gallon. Which is not bad in the long run or when you are standing back looking at the bigger picture.

An Oxygen sensor that needs to be replaced in your vehicle will distort the MPG that you are used to getting. I was getting 14 MPG in my 1997 Ford Ranger. I replaced the oxygen sensor and then the miles per gallon shot up to over 20 in the city! On the highway I save even more gas miles.

When to use and when not to use the airconditioner a vital piece of knowledge to have. It is a logical rule of thumb that should be applied to all people. If your car is flying down the road at speeds of greater then 60 MPH then you should roll up the windows and crank on the airconditioner. The wind drag on the car with the windows at high speeds will outweigh running the A/C. However, if you are slowly driving or are driving within the city a person should roll down the windows. The airconditioner's pull from the gas is greater then the drag resistance on the car.

You maybe thinking..."The wind will mess up my look/hair/outfit/ (Insert your excuse here) so I can not ride around town with the windows down."

Even if you can apply this trick only once a week you would still save on the cost of gas. Not only would we all be doing our part to save the environment, by cutting back on natural resource consumption, but we would be saving money in the process. If the population of America could apply this trick to their everyday driving for the course of a week America would save millions of dollars. Now lets say that it only saved you 2-3 miles per gallon that week total.

Take the current population of America (304,059,724) and multiply that by 2-3 miles saved. On a minimum the United States would save 608,119,448 miles.
On a maximum we would save 912,179,172 miles.

Now take those numbers and divide it by an average of 15 miles to the gallon. (Yeah, this is a low baller, but I am just trying to get a point across.) This part will tell you how many gallons of gas that the USA saved, which is 40,541,296.50 - 60,811,944.80

Ok, let us go one step further and figure out how much money that America just saved in that WEEK. Let us say that gas is roughly $2.00 a gallon, and we all know that is has not been two dollars forever. However, I am just getting my point accross so just bare with me and keep reading. Take your $2.00 per gallong and multiply that by your minimum and your maximum...

America saved roughly 81 - 121 million dollars that week. Oh my, that is a ton of money to be saving just by moving your car window up and down! Think about how much money we all would save in a year or over a decade...

If your car is sitting idle for longer then a minute then shut it off. If your car is on and sitting in park for longer then a minute then you are wasting gas. If you shut if off and turn it back on for the long waits then you will burn less gas. Be careful to not waste your battery listening to the radio, because I have done that.

Use cruise control when taking long trips. The more that you accelerate on the gas pedal the more gas you dump into the engine to make it go faster. This applies to city driving as well. I think we all know that guy that pretends that he is racing you at the red light. Once the stoplight turns green they peel out across the stop line on the street and proceed to drive as fast as Nascar drivers. Having a heavy lead foot will cause you to open up your throttle on your car and force feed it gas. Usually speeding or quick acceleration is not a good idea when a person is trying to save money on gas.

Using the breaks too much can be just as bad as a lead foot. Ridding your breaks not only will wear out your pads and disc's, but it will make your MPG worse. As with anything there is a happy medium that you will feel comfortable with. I personally try to never touch the breaks, but I use them when it is necessary. I mainly coast along at the speed limit and when people slow down I take my foot away from the gas pedal. A person could be surprised to find out how much this can save your wallet in the long haul.

Reduce your weight in the vehicle that you are using. If you use your truck for work purposes then it may be to your benefit to take the ladders off of your truck at night and leave them on the job site. Dragging around unnecessary weight will greatly reduce your MPG. Having a full trunk of junk in your car can help to reduce your miles. Take out the crap out of your trunk and use it when you need to. Do not use it as extra storage on a daily basis.

If you have a garage attached to your home then use it. Especially if you live anywhere North where it gets cold during the winter months. Generally when an engine is cold in the morning it will get terrible gas mileage. So by parking your car overnight in a garage you will defeat the cold start miles problem. Some of you guys have a remote starter on your car. Use it, and let your car run up for the first five to ten minutes before using it.

You have probably heard about Skype before. About 15 million people use it daily as their means of communication. Small business use Skype over regular land line communication. Skype has many features that your home phone simply does not have. Not to mention that Time.com rated Skype within the top 50 best websites to visit this year!

Skype brings to the world cheap and affordable packages. If you are calling here within the United States there is a package for only $3.00 a month. Yeah, that is pretty cheap when compared to what the phone companies are charging. Skype also allows a person to pre-pay their account. They make it pretty easy to pay them.

With your $3.00 package you will need to purchase an additional number package. This can cost you $18.00 dollars ever 90 days. A person could also just buy the number up for an entire year and save almost half of the money it would cost by doing it in 90 day increments.

There are cheaper solutions then Skype, but Skype packs such a punch that it has made my top ten list for communication devices. I currently do not have a land line ran to my home. I use Skype services as my primary source of home phone calling.

Some of the features to expect from Skype are the basics. The typical things that all your other phones can do like voice mail, text messaging, call forwarding, call history, and a nice contact list. Skype also brings to the table face to face communication. This is where your regular phone just does not cut it. By using the webcam that you have a person could call someone else with a web camera and proceed from there. A lot of small and large business are using Skype services for conference calls to cut back and save money.

Skype users can communicate for free as well. So, if all of America were to switch over to Skype as their primary source of communication then nobody would have to pay a dime to the phone companies or even to Skype itself. That is a pretty cool thought, and now all I have to do is convert every person in America. I bet that wont be hard...

People can also play games with each other via the Skype applications. You can use voice recorder so that everything that is spoken gets recorded. Guys and Gals can utilize Skype to find out if the other is cheating on them. Or parents find out exactly what your kids are really planning to do tonight!

Skype is always growing in the number of users every day. Skype is always growing in the number of applications that they provide. Skype is integrated into many new laptops right off the shelves. Not to mention that they have their own phone products to help enhance the user experience. You can even download Skype to your IPhone or Windows Mobile phone and use it wherever you can get WIFI for free.

All in all, Skype is a great system that everybody should at least try out once. If you do decide to try it and do not like it then just delete it from your system. It is that simple. What have you got to lose? Nothing, you can only save your money!

Microsoft Office Alternatives | Free Office Tools From OpenOffice

This post will be talking primarily about how to stop paying the corporate companies the money that they don't need anymore. How much money do you think that Microsoft is making per year? Enough that Bill Gates was the richest man in the world for quite some time!

Lets think logically here. How much does it cost you to purchase a copy of the latest Microsoft Office software? Well, I can take the guess work out of the thinking process and simply tell you how much it cost. As of right now, August 31st. 2009, Microsoft Office is charging a whooping total of $99.00, and it is already marked down to 33% off. Not too bad for a software product that is already two years outdated!

Why do you think that Bill Gates would lose money if he bent down to pick up a $100.00 bill that he found on the ground? Because in that short minute that it took to bend down he would have made $555,187.00.

So, let us all stop paying for stuff that is already outdated to a guy that doesn't need the money. How many units do you think that he sells in that minute to make that godly money? I would guess roughly 5,551 units and that is by just moving the decimal over a two places. These numbers on the units sold per minute are solely to determine how many Microsoft would have to sell in order to pay good ol' Bill.

As for your alternative options that are available to you for a fraction of the price would be OpenOffice from www.OpenOffice.org. This program is technically free, but I suggest that you donate at least $5.00 to help the team to continue the progress with the free product. Even if you all converted to OpenOffice and had to pay $5.00 you would still be paying about 95% less then you would for the same "name brand" product.

OpenOffice contains everything that a person would need in order to survive small business, college, high school, personal, and even probably big business. This all in one client is a download that you install to your computer just like the regular Microsoft Office. The difference in the installation of the software is that you can download OpenOffice from the internet and just install it whereas you would insert a C.D. with Microsoft products.

This free version of Office provides the user many saving formats for all their files. I have found no compatibility problems with importing documents from all versions of Microsoft Office. I mean exactly to say that Microsoft Office has given me many issues and I have had to waste hours converting the files to the other version that I was trying to print from. So for the free version to have no issues is simply amazing to me.
